THESE youngsters had their imagination inspired by a literary themed walk around Oxford.

William Paddick, six, with brothers Thomas, eight, and James, 11, took part in The Story Museum’s Wonder Walk this month.

Walking around the city they delved into the wonderful worlds of C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien and Lewis Carroll, all Oxford University academics.

They held snowballs, smelt Turkish delight and played croquet with toy flamingos and hedgehogs.

But their favourite part of the day was dressing up as dwarfs in honour of The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien – their favourite book.

The brothers, from Mapledurham, Berkshire, visited with mum Diane.

James said: “When I dressed up as a dwarf I got to wear a beard – that was my favourite bit.

“The Hobbit is my favourite book because I like the fantasy and the adventures.”

Thomas said: “I liked the tour and we also dressed up as cards and Bilbo Baggins.”

William added: “We got to hold snowballs, but my favourite place was the dressing up room. I dressed up as a dog.”
