Three passengers were injured after a bus braked suddenly on Botley Road this morning.

Police and ambulance were called to the scene, by Osney Court, just after 9am and the Park and Ride bus was temporarily evacuated.

Oxford Bus Company spokesman Phil Ashworth said: "The driver performed an emergency brake when a cyclist pulled out in front of the bus. He did not hit the cyclist."

A spokeswoman for South Central Ambulance Service said: "Three people were treated at the scene with what appear to be minor injuries, but no one was taken to hospital."

There were no further details available on the injuries.
