Sir – Councillor Mick Haines is right to report to his constituents how he allocated the annual community fund provided by the council for use in his ward (Report, July 17).
To do this by installing a plaque on the bench at the junction of Croft Road and Marston Road with wording which could be misinterpreted as if it was an act of his personal generosity seems most strange.
