A swarm of bees had to be removed from the forecourt of the Ashmolean Museum today.
The forecourt of the museum in Beaumont Street was closed on Tuesday after the bees landed on an information sign.
Museum marketing assistant Tom Jowett said: “Visitors were asked to enter via the St Giles entrance. Yesterday morning a local beekeeper was called to remove the swarm, which will now be rehomed at Christ Church college.”
