A new teaching block at St Hugh’s School was opened by the Rt Rev Cyril Bulley, retired Bishop of Carlisle and vice-chairman of the school governors, in 1980. The opening of the £80,000 building coincided with the school’s 75th anniversary.
Faringdon School Association provided the school with a minibus in 1991. Former association chairman Alan Hooper, left, is seen handing the keys to headteacher Rex Norman, watched by association committee members and pupils.
