ON Tuesday morning, I was driving along the main Bicester-Aylesbury road at about 8.30am, towards Aylesbury, when I was caught in a queue of slow-moving traffic.

As I turned right on to the Thame Road, it turned out that the congestion was caused by a group of 10 or 12 mature cyclists who were riding two and three abreast, taking up the whole of one side of the road and did not attempt to ride in single file, even when I sounded my horn to warn of my approach.

Those responsible will know who they are and, if they should read this, I can only say it is idiots like you who give cyclists a bad reputation.
