A MAN in his 70s has been found dead in a Botley Road hotel.
Police were called to the River Hotel at 12.30pm after fear for a man’s welfare was reported.
Ambulances were also called but a spokeswoman said no one had been transported to hospital.
Thames Valley Police has said the death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious.
The man’s family have been informed.
A passer-by told the Oxford Mail that there were three police cars outside the hotel, near the Botley Road railway bridge, as well as an ambulance.
A spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police said officers had been called at 12.29pm today by someone at the hotel.
The River Hotel declined to comment.
