I WAS very pleased to see the figures relating to the CO2 emissions from Temple Cowley Pool (TCP). These facts, taken from the council’s own figures, highlight the constant problem where councillors having taken the decision in 2011 cannot step back and change their decision.
It does not feel like democracy when, in the face of both the real facts and (more importantly) the very large number of their constituents who want to keep TCP, the ruling group councillors take no notice at all.
I hope that all those who read this and want to keep TCP will write to the leader of the council, Bob Price, at the Town Hall or by e-mail.
The councillors need to keep hearing from the people who matter.
Those living in the Cowley ward, soon to have a by-election, will be able to vote to show their wishes too.
