CELEBRITY chef Raymond Blanc officially opened the new Haddenham and Thame Parkway station.
The revamp, which cost £500,000, means the station building has been rebuilt with a larger ticket office and coffee shop area as well as new toilets.
The cycle parking and car park lighting have also been upgraded, while a motorcycle parking zone has been created.
Mr Blanc, whose Michelin starred restaurant Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons is in nearby Great Milton, said: “I, like so many others, rely on a fast and frequent service in and out of London – Chiltern Railways provide that for me and thousands of commuters.’’ Haddenham and Thame Parkway opened in 1987 and has recently seen a 14 per cent increase in passenger numbers.
