Sir – My car broke down late Thursday night at Thornhill park-and-ride and I told the two lady parking supervisors that I would outstay my time limit while awaiting the AA.
They not only agreed charmingly to the free extension but ten minutes later, spontaneously brought me a hot cup of tea plus a cereal bar 'to keep my spirits up'. They offered to keep topping up my tea (in a proper cup) till my rescuers arrived.
If only all parking officials were this human. Thank you, ladies!
