CONGRATULATIONS to Oxford Hub. It is most deserving of recognition given the fantastic work it does in the city.
But to win the Queen’s Award – the highest honour for volunteering – is really something to celebrate.
Its work has seen 50 volunteers transform projects across the city.
More than 1,000 people have benefited from its endeavours and the city should be proud we have such a dedicated and committed charity working in its midst.
Students sometimes suffer from a bad reputation, but the 14 who form the charity’s committee show many are a valuable asset in the community.
The Oxford Mail looks forward to covering more of the hub’s great work in the future.
