Sir – On Saturday afternoon I took two nine-year-old boys to Hinksey Pools so they could swim and l would spectate. I was shocked when I was told I needed to pay £13.50.
When I queried this amount l was told that I needed to pay for an adult swim (£5.90) even though I would not be getting in the pool.
According to the attendant that served me, this was because so many people say they are just watching and then get in the pool.
This doesn’t seem like a fair rule for honest people, can’t they come up with a better solution for people not using the pool? I am happy to pay but nearly £6 seems a lot.
