I am writing concerning knife crime after the incident where a teacher, Ann Maguire was fatally stabbed at school by a pupil.
Ann Maguire
I still feel that we are not getting the message through to young people that knives can kill.
So I believe that it helps the more we raise awareness which is why I set up a knife crime project in the village hall, giving talks on this serious subject.
Over time, I have given a talk on Radio Oxford and written letters to your paper.
Schools should keep raising awareness on the dangers of knives – we must get this message through to them.
Knives Get The Message
Knives can take away a life
Or scar you for life
So my message to young people is don’t do it
Never carry a knife
Knives will take you to the point of no return
But leave you with a lifetime of regrets.
Knives can change your life for ever
But then it is too late to question why did you carry a knife?
For yes, knives are bad news
So please don’t make the headlines.
