I read with incredulity your report about the forthcoming censorship of Witney town councillors.
Well done to those councillors who have come forward and stated they are not in favour of this.
I wonder if the councillors who are behind this policy will be as open?
I would like to know who they are so I can be sure they don’t get my vote in next month’s local elections. On the basis that turkeys don’t vote for Christmas, I guess they will be hiding behind their self-imposed wall of anonymity and keeping their heads down.
Perhaps we will have to out them by a process of elimination, ie, it’s not those who have already spoken out against this policy.
Will they have the conviction to come forward and justify themselves? I very much doubt it.
