UNION leaders held a conference in Oxford to discuss problems in the motor industry.
Thousands of car workers were on short time when the Transport and General Workers’ Union called the meeting in 1960.
The delegates included some well-known Oxford names, among them Jack Thomas, Clifford Crawley, Josh Murphy and Bob Fryer.
