TO many it may seem like a petty planning battle that has rumbled on for decades.
But to those living near developer Martin Young’s property in Old High Street, it’s an issue that has had an impact on their life since the start.
After three appeals by Mr Young against planning refusals by Oxford City Council, the case finally seems to be coming to a conclusion.
His latest appeal to overturn a decision to extend the property has been dismissed by the Government’s planning inspector.
The council has now issued him with a notice to improve part of the building and he’s due in court in August.
For all concerned we hope the issue is sorted once and for all.
