TRAFFIC on Oxford’s Botley Road is building up again this morning due to the closure of Park End Street.
Drivers can expect a fourth day of congestion in the city centre as Thames Water continues work on repairing sewers.
There are temporary traffic lights on all access points to Frideswide Square.
There is heavy traffic on Botley Road between the Seacourt Tower Traffic Lights and Hythe Bridge Street.
There are no reports of gridlock in other parts of the city centre that were affected earlier in the week, including Abingdon Road.
Thames Water has closed Park End Street because a fatberg - a collection of cooking oil and fat and other rubbish flushed down the drains - has caused the sewer to partially collapse.
Thames Water said yesterday it would be finishing work this weekend ahead of schedule.
