THE recent passing of Bob Crow prompted respectful comments across the political spectrum regarding his concerns for the well-being of the members of his union.

I’m afraid that having a drink, going on holiday and being paid a good salary does not preclude anybody from having socialist beliefs which basically recognise a fairer society.

RW Tucker (Letters, March 20) expresses bigoted views which, sadly, in this day and age are all too common.
