A PUPIL at Abingdon’s Larkmead School has designed the school’s new welcome booklet.
Sixth former Ed Atcherley-Symes was asked to design the new booklet of information for parents of children starting at the school, in Faringdon Road.
The 17-year-old works on the magazine with fellow students, Toby Downes and Harry Gable, both 18.
Headteacher Chris Harris said: “We have some amazing talent at Larkmead. Lots of our students are happy to get involved in different projects to help us shape our school.
“The student magazine was a showcase of what some of our sixth-formers can do and it seemed a logical step to ask Ed, as editor of the magazine, to get involved in the design of the new welcome booklet.
“He’s done a terrific job and we are very happy with the result.”
Ed said: “I like to design things so when I was asked to work on the new Welcome Booklet I said yes. I wanted to help the school as well as increase my portfolio before I go to university.”
