I HELP organise the annual Cowley Convoy to the Pride of Longbridge Rally which remembers the collapse of MG Rover in 2005 and also celebrates everything with a Longbridge/Austin connection.
As Cowley was linked with Longbridge between 1952 and 2000, this includes all Cowley-produced vehicles between those dates.
This year’s Pride of Longbridge Rally is on Saturday, April 12.
We currently have around 100 vehicles registered for the Cowley Convoy and the rally at Longbridge is expecting well over 1,000 vehicles.
We are looking for three or four marshals to help at MINI Plant Oxford, from where the Cowley Convoy starts.
We need help for about an hour early in the morning to line the vehicles up and help send them off to Longbridge.
We have a great variety of models on the convoy including Morris Minor, Allegro, Marina, Triumph Acclaim, 1300/1100, Mini, Metro, Montego, Rover SD1, Rover 800, Princess and Maxi, to name but a few.
