I am writing concerning the closure of Witney main post office transferring business to a completely unsuitable venue (March 12). I would like to correct the belief that this is done to save money.

It is being done to make money for shareholders in the short-term dividends increased for one year.

Seventy-per cent of the population want utilities re-nationalised, gas, electric, water, etc, but the three main political parties want more and more privatisation. Somewhere down the line these politicians will find they are out of power, replaced by those who truly represent the people. May this come soon.
