AN elderly woman was distracted while her credit cards were stolen from her purse in Drayton, near Banbury.

The thieves then used the card to withdraw money from a cash machine.

Police believe they followed her to a supermarket, in Swan Close, Banbury, to discover her PIN number when she used a card to pay for shopping last Saturday between 9am and 10am.

They approached her later as she was walking in Stratford Road, in Drayton. A woman asked her for directions to Horton Hospital and two men showed her a map.
