Dancers took to the stage with an elegant twist this week at The Night Ball.
The performances which were part of the Dancin’ Oxford 2014 Festival, saw professional dancers from balletLORENT take to the town hall stage in two nights of glitz and glamour.
Featuring 10 professionals and 14 community dancers, The Night Ball showcased a range of music genres, styles and colourful choreography.
Director of Dancin’ Oxford Claire Thompson said: “The Night Ball was fantastic. It was a really enjoyable evening and the show was wonderful. Nearly all of the audience got up to dance at the end of the show.
“There were people of all ages from those in their late teens right through to ladies in their seventies. It was great to have such a mixed audience.”
The Night Ball took place on Monday and yesterday.
Dancin’ Oxford continues until Monday with performances from Paulette Mae at the town hall in St Aldate’s on Thursday and Friday and many other events.
