Oxford Mail: MoD site deal agreed MoD site deal agreed

Councillors have agreed to go ahead with the multi-million pound purchase of the Graven Hill site from the Ministry of Defence.

Cherwell District Council’s executive members made the decision as part of a plan that the authority says will see 1,900 homes built on the site.

These rumours have been around Bicester for years, obviously unsubstantiated but its not as if any councillor is going to own up to any wrong-doing! I find it incredible that we have SW Bicester undoing a slow build, the eco area still yet to happen, yet, for some strange reason, we need 1000s more homes to the SE. Where is the infrastructure to support all of this?

Tony - for once you are completely correct. However I don't think that much insistence will be needed as the vast majority of self builders want to build the most energy efficient and sustainable houses that they can.
