City council leader Bob Price has missed out on the Local Government Information Unit leader of the year awards.

He had been shortlisted along with leaders from six other councils, including Buckinghamshire County Council and Bath and North East Somerset Council.

In its nomination, the LGIU said Mr Price’s “most important contribution” had been housing, and cited the 900-home Barton Park development as an example of this.

The winner was Jim McMahon, the leader of Oldham Council.

Presumably that'd be the Barton development that hasn't actually got planning permission yet. Or maybe Cllr Price knows something we don't ?
