Sir – Following on from Henley Town Council’s extraordinary meeting this week which addressed the disgraceful comments of UKIP councillor David Silvester.
The real lesson to be learned from this appalling incident is that people should ensure they get out and vote in local council elections and prevent people like councillor Silvester from being elected to public office in the first place.
