IMAGINE, if you will, a municipal government of a supposedly civilised western community that employs a planning department that would have the gross audacity to advocate such a development as Oxford University’s Castle Mill project in Roger Dudman Way.
A local gentleman of impeccable character once likened Spring Residential’s plans for the Jericho boatyard as: “a brick in a bird’s nest.” We can analogise Roger Dudman Way as ‘lorry loads of abattoir waste in the Bodleian Reading Room’. Then imagine that said government would actually approve such a plan – and further imagine that such a government could be led by anyone other than the likes of Bob Price.
