FLOOD response equipment is being removed from Abingdon Road and Botley Road in central Oxford.
The Fire and Rescue Service is today withdrawing the high-volume pumps currently stationed on Abingdon Road and Botley Road.
The pumps will be moved to a holding area at Rewley Road Fire Station.
Oxfordshire County Council said: “However, the service will continue to keep a very close eye on the weather forecasts and Environment Agency advice.”
Assistant chief fire officer Simon Furlong said: “We want to re-assure people that our equipment will continue to be based very close to both the Abingdon and Botley Roads. We will be able to redeploy it very quickly if necessary.”
