Firefighters tackle blaze at empty Carterton care home
Firefighters are battling a blaze at an empty care home in Carterton.
Fire engines were called at 7.15am to The Doris Watts Care Home in Milestone Road.
The building is believed to be for sale after the home shut down several months ago.
Six fire engines were at the scene.
Oxfordshire Fire Service spokesman Martin Crabtree said firefighters were now scaling down their operation.
The fire damaged the back of the building, ground floor, first floor, and roof.
