THE proposal to charge everyone £10 for each visit to A&E is a follow-up to charging new immigrants who attend A&E.
Okay, many folk go to A&E in desperation because getting to see their GP takes too long. Everyone knows that Cameron’s clueless followers would dearly like to get rid of the huge cost of running the NHS.
The NHS put the ‘great’ in Great Britain and was the envy of the world until the Conservative cuts began to make life hard for GPs, surgeries and hospital departments. Is this new proposal the beginning of the end for the NHS, as it appears this coalition Government would like the British public to get treatment via private insurance – something that could never work in public service?
The countless billions of pounds being allocated for the unnecessary HS2 just prove that Cameron & Co only think of their own wealthy voters and not the working public of the UK, who have paid billions in National Insurance contributions over the years, and who will now have to pay twice if these proposals go ahead.
Keep the NHS free for the UK. Immigrants will still come here to get treatment. The other difficulty will be the gigantic problems associated with collecting payments. It will cost more than the money it generates. Adrian Taylor Duncan Close Eynsham
