A councillor has been jailed for five years.
John Morgan has today been jailed after he was convicted of stealing and gambling away £154,000 from elderly Alzheimer's sufferer Beryl Gittens.
The 75-year-old Vale of White Horse district councillor was told today at Oxford Crown Court that he had committed "the highest breach of trust that one can be guilty of".
Morgan, of of Highclere Gardens, Wantage, shook his head as the sentence was handed out.
