I AM researching the life of diplomat and prolific author Sir Ronald Fraser (1888-1974) with the intention of writing his biography.
A remarkably accomplished man, Fraser was a writer of elegance and wit, depth and breadth.
His 27 novels are strongly marked by elements of spirituality and fantasy while varying widely in their subject matter and the period in which they are set.
After his retirement from public service, Sir Ronald lived at Sanlands, near Chinnor, where, embracing the New Age movement, he ran a healing and meditation centre with his partner Ingrid from a private temple attached to their home.
I would be interested to hear from anyone in the area who has memories of Fraser.
