ONCE again, I have read about the chaos that Bicester Village has caused over the festive period (Oxford Mail, December 27) and every year Village community relations director Miranda Markham says: “It will be better next year” but it never is.

Was she formerly employed by the county council highways department?

Once again, it is the people in the residential areas who have had to suffer. How would the obviously affluent customers who visit there like it if several hundred cars blocked their streets? Cars are seen abandoned in the road leading to the village and the local constabulary appears powerless to do anything about it?

So why does Bicester Village, when it hascustomers who are stupid enough to pay the ridiculous prices their shops charge for out-of-date products, have a sale at all? Why don’t they make them pay all year, as the customers they attract, in my opinion, will still be happy to pay ‘full whack’ for what they get. Perhaps the local council should employ people to patrol residential areas and ticket these idiots. I, for one, would be happy to volunteer.

Let’s see if you get it right next year Miranda, if you’re still employed there.
