THREE people have been fined for serving alcohol to under-18s after Thames Valley Police and West Oxfordshire District Council carried out a test purchasing operation.
On Friday, December 20, 12 licensed premises in the Witney area were visited by the neighbourhood police team along with licensing officers from the district council.
Two young people were involved and at each premises they attempted to purchase alcohol. Three served them.
In each case the member of staff involved was issued with a £90 fine. Of the three premises that failed the test, two were pubs and one was a supermarket.
The businesses involved have not been named.
