THE body of the man found today in Wheatley is believed to be that of missing man Michael Griffiths.
Thames Valley Police and West Midlands Police are jointly investigating the unexplained death.
The body was found in the River Thame near to junction 8a of the M40 earlier today.
Police believe the body is that of Michael Griffiths, a missing man from Stechford, Birmingham.
The 31-year-old was last seen driving on the northbound carriageway near junction 8a at Wheatley on Thursday, November 28.
A formal identification and post-mortem examination are yet to take place.
Police say these will be arranged in due course.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "Mr Griffiths' family are being kept informed of the latest developments and are being supported by specially trained liaison officers at this time."
