A 55-year-old woman was left bruised after she was bitten by a dog on a footpath near the River Thames.
The woman was walking past two women walking six dogs on a path on the Dorchester side of the riverwhen one of them bit and held on to her wrist.
The attack happened near Days Lock on Wednesday at about 3.15pm.
Police said the dog was possibly a red or brown Vizsla or Weimaraner. The two women were aged about 50 and were wearing long coats.
Anyone with information should contact Pc Alison Allum at Didcot police station via the police inquiry centre on 101.
