A NUMBER of roads in Oxford are closed today and during the weekend's Christmas Light Festival.
Lantern parade heralds start of three days of festivities
Closed from 7pm last night until 6am Monday:
- St Giles
- Woodstock Road from the junction with St Giles to its junction with Bevington Road
- Banbury Road from the junction with St Giles to the junction with Parks Road
- Pusey Street from the junction with St Giles to the junction with Pusey Lane
- Little Clarendon Street
Closed from 4-11pm today:
- Magdalen Street East and Magdalen Street West
- George Street from the junction with Gloucester Street to the junction with Cornmarket
- Broad Street from the junction of Turl Street to the junction with Magdalen Street West
- Cornmarket Street
- Beaumont Street from the junction with St Giles’ to the junction with St John’s Street.
- Ship Street
- Market Street
- Turl Street
- High Street from the junction with Turl Street to the junction with St. Mary’s Passage.
- Blue Boar Street
- Bear Lane
- King Edward Street
Buses running between 4pm and 10pm today will terminate in Broad Street.
The taxi rank in St. Giles is temporarily relocated in Beaumont Street until 6am Monday morning.
