A MAN in his 50s from the Abingdon area has died after the Porsche he was driving and a lorry collided yesterday. The lorry driver, a 59-year-old from Kent, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He has been released on bail to appear at Loddon Valley Police Station in Reading on January 29.
Emergency services were called to the accident, on the A4130 between Nettlebed and Nuffield, at 6.26am. The driver of the car died at the scene.
The road was closed throughout the morning as police investigated the collision, with officers reopening the stretch at about 1.20pm.
Thames Valley Police has appealed for witnesses – particularly a person who stopped following the crash, but left before officers arrived – to come forward.
Contact police on 101.
