A woman has been accused of trying to smuggle £60,000 worth of cannabis into the country from Jamaica.
Margaret Simms, 57, was charged with attempted importation after Border Force officers found 20 kilos of cannabis in luggage at Gatwick Airport on Tuesday.
Simms, of Peat Moors, appeared before Croydon Magistrates Court yesterday.
She did not enter a plea and was bailed to appear at Croydon Crown Court on Wednesday, December 4.
