An IT support technician hanged himself at home, an inquest heard.
Vincent Gallagher was found by police officers at his home in Wessex Road, Didcot, after a call about his welfare on August 21.
Mr Gallagher, who was divorced, had 160mg of alcohol in his blood – two times the drink-drive limit – when he died.
The inquest at Oxfordshire Coroners’ Court heard that Mr Gallagher had suffered from depressive symptoms for two years and had taken an overdose in April 2012 and April this year.
Oxfordshire Coroner Darren Salter yesterday recorded a verdict of suicide.
