ANYONE fancy a snack from the mud kitchen?
Children on their very own wild adventure have been cooking up some treats in a makeshift kitchen as well as cooking marshmallows over fires.
The half-term event at the Rock Edge Nature Reserve in Headington was run by the Heart of the Wildwood – a charity providing forest school sessions for children around Oxfordshire.
Four-year-old Freya Morton from Cowley Road, Oxford, went with her family. She said: “I really liked eating marshmallows around the fire.”
Her mother, Anna Morton, said: “I thought it was very lovely and relaxed. It is nice that something like that was put on, especially for young kids.”
“My two-year-old also really enjoyed it, playing in a pile of mud. It is nice that it was in the city.”
It was the second free event at the reserve for half-term – the first was a fossil adventure on Saturday.
