CHILDREN came face-to-face with ghostly prisoners at Oxford Castle Unlocked’s Trick or Treating at the weekend.
‘Prisoners of the past’ were locked in cells to frighten children as they were taken on a tour of the former prison.
Eight-year-old twins Charlotte and Daniel Trotter were staying with family in Kidlington and were taken to the castle to get into the spirit of Halloween.
They dressed up as a ghoul and a spooky clown and said: “It was great, very spooky and scary, but we loved it!”
Their mother Karen Trotter said: “Hats off to the organisers as it was just right. The twins said was the best thing they have done in Oxford.”
Trick or Treating is on again tomorrow, in half hour slots from 6pm to 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5 each for children and adults, and can be booked at oxfordcastleunlocked.co.uk.
