A LANDOWNERS' association has praised Vale of White Horse District Council for restricting the use of Chinese lanterns, by agreeing to ban the candlelit party favourites at events that require a licence.
Country Land and Business Association South East regional director Robin Edwards said the Vale had “taken a significant lead which we hope authorities in our region will follow”.
