I am writing concerning your front page story of 20 means 20 (October 1) and the police plans to get more strict on enforcement.
The other day I was driving down Morrell Avenue’s ‘20mph’ zone and four cyclists sped past me doing in excess of 25mph. Will the police be stopping and fining them £100? Surely, if this is a crime for the motorists, then it has to be a crime for the cyclists. But they won’t get three points because they have no licence. It will be a slap on the wrist and ‘don’t do it again’.
Also, (October 1), ‘City is full of crime’ – criminals will love this as most of the police force will be out to catch the motorists.
