CHILDREN at Garsington Primary School delighted audiences with their production of The Horse of Wood in 1981.
Forty children were involved in the play about the siege of Troy and the building of the wooden horse.
Producer Barbara Woodhead and musical director Doris Heelas were in their 11th year of musicals at the school.
Teacher Joan Tomlinson painted a huge backcloth with some help from the children, while parents and staff were responsible for many of the colourful costumes.
Meanwhile at Ascott-under-Wychwood, it might have been a little chilly, but these children below seemed to be be having fun nonetheless.
They were probably just delighted that after many months of fundraising, the swimming pool in the village was now ready to use.
Many parents turned out to welcome the opening of the pool in 1967.
