OXFORD MAGISTRATES.

  • Jed Denton, 20, of Underhill Circus, Barton, Oxford, admitted breaching an anti-social behaviour order on September 20 and September 22 in Underhill Circus by congregating in a group of four or more people. He also admitted stealing a power inverter worth £90 from Halfords in Between Towns Road, Oxford, on September 16. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge made for two counts of taking without consent and possessing cannabis. Community order made with a four-week curfew requirement and fined £20. Told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge, £20 costs and £90 compensation.
  • Bernard Day, 42, of Speedwell Street, Oxford, admitted begging in a public place on a second or subsequent occasion on August 13 in Speedwell Street, Oxford. Fined £30 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  • Blaine Partlett, 20, of Claymond Road, Barton, admitted assault by beating and possessing cocaine, a Class A drug, in Balfour Road, Oxford, on August 17. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge made on April 4 for possessing cannabis. Community order made with restorative justice requirement, two-month curfew requirement, exclusion requirement, and 12-month supervision requirement. Fined £50 and told to pay £200 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • David Reid, 44, of Green Hill, Oxford, admitted assault by beating at The Oval, Oxford, on September 23. Given a 12-week prison sentence because he was drunk when he carried out the assault and was released from a custodial sentence only a few days prior.
  • Nathan Andrews, 30, of Priory Road, Wantage, failed without a reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order made by another magistrates’ court on June 14 by failing to work as instructed on September 7 and September 14. Fined £60.
  • Carrie Parker, 29, of Marsh End, Tetsworth, near Thame, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place and resisting Pc Anthony Carter, a police officer in the execution of their duty, near Wheatley, on June 16. Community order made with one-month curfew requirement and told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge, £35 costs and £75 compensation.
  • Gareth Edwards, 39, of North Road, Didcot, admitted drink-driving in Foxhall Road, Didcot, on September 1. Had 53 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £110, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £40 costs. Banned from driving for 12 months.
  • Gavin Minns, 35, of Donnington Bridge Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting two bottles of vodka worth £38.50 from the Co-op in Templars Square, Between Towns Road, Cowley, on September 25. Community order made and told to do 50 hours of unpaid community work. Also told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs.
  • Lee Davis, 32, of James Street, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Oxford on August 31. Admitted harassment without violence after sending texts and making calls in Oxford between August 31 and September 4. Given a three-month prison sentence suspended for 24 months. Restraining order made. Told to pay £100 compensation and an £80 victims’ surcharge. Also admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress, in Oxford on August 29. Fined £70, £50 compensation, and £30 costs.
  • Patryk Nalepa, 32, of Baker Close, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Oxford on August 24. Community order made with a six-month supervision requirement. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
  • Melanie Hancox, 46, of Combewell, Garsington, convicted of using racially-aggravated, threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause someone to believe violence would be used against them at the Plush Lounge, in Park End Street, Oxford, on December 23. Fined £250, £100 compensation, a £25 victims’ surcharge, and £450 costs.
  • Carrie-Ann Chandler, 18, of Appletree Close, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Oxford on August 18. Community order made with a 10-week curfew requirement and a supervision requirement.Told to pay £200 compensation.
  • Gemma Rees, 23, of Borrowmead Road, Headington, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Hollow Way, Headington, on July 22. Community order made with activity and supervision requirements. Told to pay £75 compensation and £40 costs.

BANBURY MAGISTRATES.

  • Megan Reilly, 18, from Arbury Banks, Chipping Warden near Banbury, admitted failing to notify the Government of the transfer of a vehicle to a person other than the trader in Chipping Warden on March 1. Fined £66 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £90 costs.
  • Peter Simmonds, 26, of High Acres, Banbury, was convicted of failing to notify the Government of the transfer of a vehicle to a person other than the trader in Banbury on December 17 2012.Fined £200 and told to pay £20 victims’ surcharge and £90 costs.
  • Paul Ssekabuzza, 35, of Hightown Gardens, Banbury, was convicted of keeping an unlicensed BMW on a public road, namely Evenlode, Banbury, on March 1. Fined £660, ordered to pay £220 vehicle excise back duty and £90 costs.
  • Antony Stubbs, 42, of Farm Close, Chalgrove, was convicted of keeping his Audi A3 on a public road, namely Farm Close, when it was unlicensed on March 16. Fined £400 and ordered to pay vehicle excise back duty of £110 and costs of £90.
  • Roger Sutton, 66, of Mirfield Road, Witney, was convicted of keeping his Toyota on a public road, namely Curbridge Road, Witney, when it was unlicensed on February 18. Fined £45 and ordered to pay vehicle excise duty of £73.34 and costs of £90.
  • Karl Whitaker, 31, of Keble Road, Bicester, was convicted of keeping his unlicensed Mercedes Vito Van on a public road, namely Churchill Road, Bicester, on February 19. Fined £200 and ordered to pay £219.17 vehicle excise back duty and £90 costs.
  • Helen Carvell, 25, of Hart Close, Banbury, was convicted of keeping an unlicensed vehicle on a public road, namely Hearthway, Banbury, on March 2. Fined £190 and ordered to pay £20 victims’ surcharge and £90 costs.
  • Hamad Alkuwari, 27, of Rowland Hill Court, Osney Lane, Oxford, was convicted of driving a vehicle on a public road without valid insurance, namely Botley Road on October 16, 2012. Fined £450 and ordered to pay £45 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Charles Gay, 23, of Lawrence Way, Bicester, admitted possessing 1.771 grams of Cannabis, a Class B drug, in Bicester on August 11. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
