BUILDING 100 homes in a Wantage field would be “unsustainable and irresponsible” a protester claims.
Housing developer Dandara already has planning permission to build 200 homes at Stockham Farm. It has now applied to build a further 100.
Felix Bell, of Witan Way, who lives opposite the site, said: “Stockham Farm Park is already at 200 homes – more than this area should take.
“The inhabitants will have no school places to put their children. The inhabitants will have jobs at least 10 miles from here, travelling on already severely congested roads.”
Dandara’s Rachel Allwood said the firm will work to address the concerns of residents. She said the plans also include a country park. See the plans at http://www.whitehorse.gov.uk.
