YOUNG cyclists descended on Bicester’s Pringle Field at the weekend.
This year’s Bike and Family Fun Day took place on Saturday for riders as young as eight years old.
Professional riders guided groups around a circuit and showed people of all ages and abilities how to ride cyclo-cross-style ( biking on a varied terrain) – on bikes resembling the style of machine used in road racing, but with larger tyres.
Seven-year-old Seb Gomm said: “I had a good time. I like riding my bike and it was the first time I had ever done cyclo-cross.”
Along with cyclo-cross racing, there was also a cycle treasure hunt ride and activities such as puppet-making, face painting, uni-cyclists and a barbecue.
