The Wallingford Historical and Archaelogical Society is marking its 40th anniversary on October 5 with a full day conference is to be held to celebrate at the Methodist Church Centre in St Leonard’s Square.
The conference – called Wallingford: Alfred’s burh, Danes to Domesday – will run from 9.15am until 5pm.
