The number of people signing on the dole in Oxfordshire has fallen again and is now less than half the national rate.
According to latest figures produced by the Office for National Statistics, 5,925 people were claiming Jobseekers' Allowance in the county in July.
It’s a drop of 1,057 on the same time last year and is the lowest figure since last December.
Nationally, the claimant count was 1.4m, down by 154,000 on the previous year.
Just 1.4 per cent of the population in Oxfordshire are claimants, compared to 3.5 per cent for the UK population as a whole.
